Hotel Amapa

Minimal, Modern, Mexican

We await your arrival

Hotel Amapa is rooted both physically and metaphorically in the Colonia Amapas neighborhood of Puerto Vallarta, on Mexico’s Pacific coast. The hotel’s rooftop pool and bar boast panoramic views of the ocean, the Sierra Madre Mountains, Puerto Vallarta’s icon sunsets, and the region’s tropical beaches, while our street-level café and restaurant serve coastal Mexican cuisine amid the vibrancy of the Zona Romantica. A showcase space for Mexican design, many of our 55 guestrooms feature expansive windows and a private balcony, while our wellness pavilion shuts out the energy of the old town with meditation, reflexology, and massages. We welcome guests 18 years of age and older.

We have a room & balcony waiting…

New Vibes in Viejo Vallarta

Hotel Amapa aims to support the revitalization of Puerto Vallarta and will be a cultural hub located in the heart of the Zona Romantica. As the first hotel of its kind in the Old Town of Puerto Vallarta, guests will benefit from the hotel's close proximity to the town’s idyllic beaches, vibrant restaurants, bars, eclectic shops, galleries, hiking trails, running paths, and lush mountains. Guests will also have direct beach access and service at El Dorado beach club, just one block from the hotel. We aim to put our guests in a Mexican state of mind by connecting them to the community and our favorite elements of the PV lifestyle. Hotel Amapa represents the convergence of the traditional Puerto Vallarta culture and a new contemporary vision for hospitality, service, and design. Hotel Amapa is infused with the local essence, the community, and the history of Vallarta, transforming it into a fresh, inspiring experience full of vibrant new energy and vitality.

We put you in a Mexican State of Mind

Rooms & Suites

Our guest rooms provide a minimal, modern, Mexican oasis using neutral tones to accentuate the sea views and the rich colors of the surrounding landscapes. Each room has a unique personality featuring bespoke local craft objects, authentic barro coverings from Oaxaca by David Pompa, weaves by fiber artist Mariella Motilla, and artisanal hammocks from the Yucatan peninsula. The soft textured walls, original herringbone brick patterns and exclusively commissioned weaves, come together to put our guests in a Mexican state of mind.
